7 Steps to Spaciousness

mindfulness, spaciousness

We all want more space.

Try one or more of these tools on-goingly and see how it transforms your life.

The more you can do, the more space you will have. The more space you have, the bigger buffer you have to modern stress. (A by-product is satisfaction, calm and connectedness to what is deeply meaningful to you).

1 - PRESENT MOMENT AWARENESS

Define time to be in a specific space or location at home or elsewhere where you don’t think about anything but the present moment. Free up your mind to not be in a state of worry, excitement, preoccupation with others or planning. Bring yourself to the present moment and allow yourself the gift of flow or present moment awareness. Rituals, bathing, dance, sex, meditation, physical training, gardening, cooking, craft or making/doing art are examples.

2 - APPRECIATION

Devote time to appreciating the good things in your life. Gratitude lists - the research shows they make us happier. But don't stop there. Make it known to others that you appreciate them. Create a ritual where you share with your family or colleagues why you appreciate them.

3 - DECLUTTER

Find space in your home through minimising clutter and releasing the obsession with ‘more’. Decluttering our homes we spend less time cleaning things and we have a space that reflects what is truly meaningful to us. Get your diversity hit from a healthy source - nature.

4 - LISTEN TO YOUR BODY

Listening to our body we create a sense of space in our inner lady landscape. A refuge, our body gives us a way of feeling our very own state of our soul, our blueprint, allowing ourselves to tune into our feminine pleasure, our feelings and intuitions which guide us, as well as the eternal.

5 - TAKE ACTION ON WHAT REALLY MATTERS

Take action on the important things on your list and in your heart. Deal with the most heartfelt and important strategic work. Making life count and doing what really matters to you creates a buffer of timelessness around the stress of modern life. Making time for planning also helps us keep more space in our minds to act and be more mindful as we perform tasks, rather than having a clogged up mind operating in a fuzz of unclear messages.

6 - MAKE TIME TO REVIEW CASHFLOW

Dont be a slave to your money. Plan time to review and know where your finances are at so you can feel in charge of it, rather than the other way round, pinned down and stressed out.

7 - GIVE & RECEIVE IN RELATIONSHIPS

Fulfilling relationships require you to create space and opportunites for good times. Communicate your needs clearly before they become stressful, practice forgiveness for yourself and others and allow space to really recieve another in conversation - hear what they’ve said and feel how they are feeling before you respond. (You may also sometimes need to make space to talk through challenging situations with a wise friend or even with a professional Coach, Counsellor or Psychotherapist who can help you understand a situation from a new perspective.)

Let me know if any of these called to you and what unfolded.

In delicious expansiveness,

Dominique x
